Home AI receptionist for towing and recovery
— towing and recovery
Towing answering service that never misses a call
The driver is in the cab, on the road, or under a truck. Every call answered is a tow booked.
Towing is pure availability. The caller is usually stranded and will keep dialling until somebody answers - a voicemail is a lost tow, and a missed contract call is a lost fleet account.
What it captures on a towing and recovery call
- Exact location first - road, junction, mile marker or a parking lot - and the direction of travel
- What the vehicle is, and whether it is drivable, on its side or blocking traffic
- Safety status - traffic exposure, injuries (911 is directed first), passengers and animals
- Whether it is a private call, an insurance or motor-club job, or a fleet account
- Payment intent and who is authorizing the recovery
- Callback number and whether the driver can stay with the vehicle
How a call sounds
I have broken down on the shoulder of the highway.
First - are you out of the traffic lane and are you safe? Then give me the road, the direction you are heading and your number.
I am in the car, near exit 14 going north.
Thank you. Stay inside with your seatbelt on if traffic is close. The dispatcher will call you to confirm the truck and the ETA.
An illustration of how a call unfolds, not a recording. Every prompt is tuned to your business before it goes live.
What a missed call costs a towing company
- a call nobody picks up leaves no record of itself: no message, no number, no way to count it
- so the jobs you never hear about cannot be counted either - which is the whole problem
- put your own numbers on it: your average job value, times the calls you miss in a week
No industry statistic and no customer story is quoted above, because we cannot verify one for your trade and this business has no customers yet. The only figures we can stand behind are our own, and they are the whole offer: $99 one-time setup, then 30¢ a minute charged by the second, out of a balance you top up from $25. No packages, no monthly fee.
The calls that decide your week
The breakdown on the shoulder
A driver on the hard shoulder is in a dangerous place and will call whoever picks up first. There is no loyalty and no second attempt - the call is decided in one ring.
The police rotation
Rotation work depends on being reachable every time. A single missed call at 3am can take you off a list that took months to get onto.
The lot full of recoveries
Storage, recovery and insurance work all start with a phone call that comes at the worst possible hour. Captured properly, that is repeat business with an office on the other end.
What lands in your inbox - and what never happens
Every call ends the same way: one job card, written out, with enough detail to price the job. And the limits are worth knowing before you buy, not after.
On the card
- The exact location - road, marker, junction or a what3words reference
- What the vehicle is and whether it is drivable or on its roof
- Whether anyone is injured or still in the vehicle
- Where it needs to go, and whether it is insurance or private
- A callback number confirmed back to the caller
What it will never do
- Quote a recovery price
- Give safety advice about staying in the vehicle
- Promise a time unless you allow it
- Claim to be you or anyone on your team
Live in a day, on the number your customers already dial
You keep the number drivers already call, forwarded or ported. The receptionist is built around your coverage, your fleet rules and what your on-call arrangement is. For a hard shoulder at 3am it takes the location and the situation and rings your on-call number rather than leaving it in an inbox. No monthly bill, no contract: a one-time setup and minutes that never expire.
Questions we get asked
Is it safe to keep a caller talking on the highway?
The AI takes the location and safety details first, then tells the caller to stay in the vehicle and ends the call quickly. If anyone is hurt it directs them to 911 before anything else.
Can it handle motor-club or insurer calls?
Yes, if you take them - the AI captures the authorization route and the reference number so the call can be billed.
Can fleet accounts call the same number?
They can. Fleet calls are tagged so your dispatch team can apply their own terms.
Can it take a location on a motorway?
Yes - it asks for the road, the direction, the nearest marker and whether the caller can see a junction sign, and it reads the location back so nothing is guessed.
What if somebody is trapped or injured?
That is treated as the highest urgency. It is flagged immediately and your on-call number is rung with the details rather than queued.
Does it handle insurance recoveries?
It captures whether the job is private or insured and where the vehicle needs to go, which is what your office needs to raise the paperwork.
